Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a two-year undergraduate degree program designed for students who wish to enhance their knowledge and professional skills in the field of nursing and healthcare. Nursing professionals play a vital role in the healthcare system by providing patient care, assisting doctors during medical procedures and surgeries, administering medications, maintaining medical records, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients.
The program focuses on advanced nursing practices, community healthcare, patient management, medical ethics, and leadership skills. Students are trained to handle healthcare responsibilities efficiently while developing strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
A qualified and trained registered nurse is capable of managing patient care as well as contributing to community health services by guiding, supporting, and caring for individuals to promote a healthier society.
- Application of Knowledge: Apply knowledge from physical, biological, and behavioral sciences, medicine, including alternative systems, in providing nursing care to individuals, families, and communities.

- Health Services: Provide promotive, preventive, and restorative health services in line with national health policies and programs.
- Communication & Teamwork: Communicate effectively with individuals and groups and members of the health team to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
- Teaching Skills: Demonstrate skills in teaching individuals and groups in clinical/community health settings.
- Leadership & Management: Participate effectively as members of the health team in health care delivery system. Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in clinical/community health settings.
- Research: Conduct need-based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.
