DIPLOMA IN OPTOMETRY

This is a diploma course and is designed keeping in view the present lifestyle in which most people suffer from eye diseases due to excessive use of mobile, computer etc. Both, in children and in adults eye problems are increasing due to excessive use of smart phones, TV and computer. Research has shown that in the last five years, In the age between 5 and 10 years, 70% of the children have got glasses.

Therefore the demand of optometrist for the assistance of ophthalmologist is increasing greatly. In this course, students are made aware of the topics related to eye care, as well as what type of glasses, contact lenses are referred to the customer and training about lowvision devices and vision therapy, eye exercises etc.

Information about the latest machines available will also be provided to them by which they will be in a position to benefit patients with their knowledge, experience and support of machines.

What after this ?

After taking the course, students can get employed in three ways:

  •   An assistant to Eye Surgeon.
  •   To work in any showroom as an assistant.

Class Rooms:

Laboratories:

Computer Lab

Krishna Institute of Nusring Science and Research has computer lab for all students with free unlimited high speed broadband internet facility. The computer lab is equipped with sufficient computers connected via windows server 2008 standard, Printer and LAN.

Krishna Institute of Nusring Science and Research Campus has hygienic, ventilated and well-furnished canteen to serve hygienic and healthy food and soft beverages for all.

Hostel & Other Facilities

Well-furnished separate hostel facility for boys and girls is available We understand that the most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so strive to make the transition as smooth as possible providing comfortable, Safe and homely set-up within the hostel. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light to guide the students and to monitor the day to day management of the hostels each hostel has dedicated warden (M/F).
